Cigna TTK is a joint venture between reputed global brand Cigna and Indian conglomerate TTK. The joint venture was formalised on 12 March, 2012 to introduce Cigna TTK as a standalone health insurance company. Cigna is a public listed organisation in NYSE while TTK owns and operates reputed brands such as Dr. Scholl’s, Chitra Heart Valves, Skore, Durex, and Kohinoor, Woodward’s gripe water and Prestige pressure cookers. 1: Cigna TTK ProHealth Insurance Premier Plan: Provides the highest sum insured amount available under Cigna TTK – Rs. 100 lacs. Contains the best of all the plans and is the star plan for Cigna TTK currently.

2: Cigna TTK ProHealth Insurance Plus Plan: Provides financial support in times of critical disease related emergencies. If the sum insured is exhausted during the year, the same will be reinstated free of cost.

3: Cigna TTK ProHealth Insurance Preferred Plan: This plan provides a higher range of sum insured – 15 lacs to 50 lacs. Additionally, the plan provides access to Worldwide Emergency Coverage in times of medical emergency when you’re travelling outside India.

4: Cigna TTK ProHealth Insurance Protect Plan: This plan is part of the ProHealth segment of Cigna TTK, which forms its flagship product. This policy provides comprehensive coverage for individuals and families for treatment of diseases. The maximum sum insured available is Rs. 10 lacs.

5: Cigna TTK ProHealth Insurance Accumulate Plan: This policy covers all the current healthcare needs and at the same time provides option to build a reserve for future emergencies.

6: Cigna TTK Lifestyle Protection-Critical Care Plan: The critical care plan helps to create a financial protection if the insured person is ever affected by a life-altering illness. Sum insured can be extended upto Rs. 3 crores.

7: Cigna TTK Lifestyle Protection - Accident Care Plan: This plan is geared toward protecting the financial capabilities of a family in case of contingencies such as death, disability-causing accident or any such accidents. Available with three options – Basic cover, enhanced cover and comprehensive cover.

8: Cigna TTK ProHealth Select: Provides sum insured uptoRs. 25 lacs for individuals and families. The plan has re-assurance benefit for automatic extension available in case of critical illness.

9: Cigna TTK ProHealth Cash: Provides coverage against hospitalisation and medical emergencies in addition to daily cash benefit. The daily cash benefit is over and above the regular sum insured. Provides two options – Basic plan and Enhanced plan.

10: Cigna TTK Global Health Group Policy: Helps companies provide employee health insurance for adults, as early as 18 years and as late as 75 years of age. This policy is covered globally by Cigna’s network.

  • Reduction in Maternity Waiting Period– With this benefit, waiting period for maternity benefit will be reduced from 48 months to 24 months.
  • Waiver of Mandatory Co-Pay– Provides the option to remove mandatory co-pay for people aged more than 65 years.
  • Pre-Existing Diseases Waiting Period– Pre-existing conditions will be covered after 24 months.

Display your health card and photo ID at the network hospital help desk. Avail treatment, pay the expenses and collect the original bill, reports and summary.
Network hospital will send company cashless authorization request form. Download claim document from www.cignattkinsurance.in and submit with documents within 15 days of discharge from hospital.
Cigna TTK will contact the hospital to issue the authorization letter and request additional information if necessary. If customer has requested for help from a claims service associate, the same will help through the paper work

2: What are the details to be provided at the time of intimation of claim?
Following are the information required at the time of intimation:
1.Policy Number
2.Name of the Policyholder
3.Name of the Insured Person in whose relation the Claim is being lodged
4.Nature of Illness / Injury
5.Name and address of the attending Medical Practitioner and Hospital
6.Date of Admission
7.Any other information as requested by Cigna TTK.

3: Is any claims payable in grace period?
Cigna TTK will not honour any claims during the grace period.

4: Where can I get the claim form for reimbursement?
You can download the form from www.cignattkinsurance.in. Alternatively you can contact the nearest branch office or avail from any of the network hospital of Cigna TTK

5: What is worldwide emergency cover?
The insured person will be covered outside of India as well in case of medical emergencies, but capped at limits specified in the Schedule. Payments for the claim will be made in INR using foreign exchange current rates as prescribed by RBI on that particular day.

6: What is the maximum number of claims allowed during the year?
Cigna TTK allows unlimited number of claims is allowed during the year.

7: How to claim for pre and post hospitalization?
The claim documents for pre and post hospitalization should be submitted within 15 days of completion of treatment or period.

8: What is the annual check-up mentioned?
If the insured person is 18 years or over, they can undertake a free comprehensive check up from the Cigna TTK network with special focus on diabetes. Those with Protect plan with be able to avail it once every 3rd Policy year. For customers with Plus, Preferred and Premier Plan, it is available at each renewal.

9: Is cashless facility always available?
Cashless facility may be denied if there is insufficient sum insured or information regarding the admission is not sufficiently available.

10: Does the list of hospitals remain the same for Cigna TTK?
The list of hospitals may or may not change and Cigna TTK reserves the right to modify, add or restrict any Network Hospital for Cashless services available under the Policy.
